A:

That link for a previous answer that Jackie S. posted correctly notes that the -F3H- code indicates that you have a moisture sensor failure in that microwave. That type of internal component failure would need to be diagnosed and repaired by a service technician to fix the microwave. Based on the age of your microwave, I recommend that you replace the unit instead of having it repaired. You can view current microwave models on the Sears.com website.

Q:

Why is my Kenmore microwave, model number 66561659101, displaying F3H? Do I need to have repaired or replaced?

A:

Core Issue: Why is my Kenmore microwave, model number 66561659101, is displaying F3H?

Resolution: The error message F3H indicates a failure condition with humidity sensor failure. You can attempt to clear error message by cutting off power to the microwave. After a minute return power and try using the unit, if message reappears, contact a service technician. The sensor may need replacement or there may be a faulty control board. The humidity sensor is available for $ 34.36 and control board $ 132.75.

Also, if the microwave was set to a lower power level setting, it will produce less power than when set at 100 percent power level. (Example below)

Q:

Is there an internal fuse in my Kenmore microwave/hood model 66561659101?

A:

There is a 20amp line fuse inside the microwave cavity that could be blown. This would result in the microwave being completely dead.

Since this fuse is an internal component, it will need to be serviced by a technician. The technician will need to investigate the cause for the blown fuse. Capacitors inside the microwave cavity can retain a charge even when the unit is unplugged and the fuse is blown. This fuse is not one that you can change yourself.

A microwave radiation leakage test must be performed on the unit anytime the cavity is opened for service.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your microwave.
