Question and Answers

Q:

my micro heats slower 66561652100 Kenmore Microwave/hood combo

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

I know what a time saver the microwave can be and how inconvenient it is when it isn't working.

I can appreciate wanting to diagnose and repair the microwave yourself, however I strongly recommend against it. We do not give repair information on microwave ovens because they are inherently dangerous to service. Microwaves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged. You need special equipment to work on a microwave starting with an anti-static wrist strap grounded to the microwave to even test components in it. Even minor door repairs and adjustments can cause microwave leakage, and a microwave shielding leakage test MUST be performed using a survey meter after any microwave service.

For these safety reasons I strongly recommend having this repair completed by a qualified service technician. You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician by calling 1-800-469-4663. You can also click HERE to schedule an appointment online. Thank you for your understanding in this matter and I hope we can help you with any other questions and repairs in the future.

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Q:

how do I install microwave door handle 665.61652100

A:

Thank you for choosing ManageMyLife.com and allowing us to help you.

I am sorry, but we do not give repair information on micro-wave ovens because they are inherently dangerous to service. Micro-waves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the micro-wave is completely unplugged. Door repairs and adjustments, even minor ones, can cause microwave leakage, and a microwave shielding leakage test must be performed using a survey meter after any microwave service. That's why I strongly warn you to have this repair handled only by a qualified service technician. The average life expectancy of a micro-wave is nine years. Sometimes it can be more cost effective to replace rather than repair this type of appliance. Click here to view what is available at Sears.com.

You can have it- repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Click here to schedule service at the Sears Home Services website. A 10% discount coupon is available when service is set online.

Normally at ManageMyLife.com we like to help you with all of your repairs, but our expert advice is that microwaves are just too dangerous.
