Q:

what is the height, width and depth of this microwave model (665.60654); I need to replace it 66560654000 Kenmore Microwave/hood combo

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when having questions on the microwave.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore Microwave  model number 665.60654000.

When you have the shelf you put the microwave on says that it should support a weight of 150 lbs., which includes microwave hood combination and items placed in the oven and upper cabinet.  12 to 14 inch depth of cabinet space.  Opening width of 30" minimum cabinet opening width.

A  66" minimum from floor to top of wall mouniting plate
B  30" minimum to cooking surface (or countertop) below minimum hood.

Check the opening where the microwave hood will be installed and must provide:

2" X 4" wood studding and 3/8" thickness drywall or plaster/lath.

Support  for weight 150 pounds, which includes microwave hood combination and items placed in oven and upper cabinet.

30" wide minimum opening

The microwave per the model given says 16 1/4 inch tall, 29 7/8 inches wide and from front to back 15 and 3/8 inches deep.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter and I hope we can help you with your future questions and repairs. Thank you for choosing Sears and using our SearsPartsDirect.com.

Q:

microwave lock error message

A:

I am sorry you are experiencing difficulties with your Microwave. Most people do not know that Microwaves contain high voltage internal components that can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is completely unplugged. Door repairs and adjustments, even minor ones, can cause microwave leakage and a microwave shielding leakage test must be performed using a survey meter after any microwave service. I strongly suggest that you have this repair handled only by a qualified service technician. I have provided a link To Sears Home Services if you decide to schedule service. If you think it may be cost effective to just replace the unit, I have also provided a link to the Microwave section of Sears.com to price out what a replacement would cost.

I see Carmen provided you with some great information. The instructions for disabling the child lock feature is located on page 13 of your owner's manual. If the manual has been misplaced, I provided you with a direct link to the downloadable version of the manual.

Owner's Manual

If the unit will not unlock, there may be an issue with the control board. You can try resetting the unit by disconnecting it from the outlet or by switching off the designated circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes, then restore the power. If the reset doesn't help, service may be needed.

Microwaves contain high-voltage components that can retain a lethal electrical charge of up to 2200 VAC -- even when the microwave is unplugged. Repairs and adjustments, even minor ones such as door removals, can cause microwave leakage. A microwave shielding leakage test should be performed after any microwave service .

It is for these safety reasons that we are unable to guide you in microwave repairs and instead recommend scheduling service with a qualified service technician.

You can schedule service online with Sears Home Services or by calling 1-800-4-MY-HOME.

I hope this helps.
