A:

You are not reading the question correctly. It is not for the dish rack. It is the wheel under the dishwasher itself to move it over to the sink.

Q:

Dishwasher problem

A:

Hello Leslie. I am sorry to hear about this problem that you are having with your Kenmore dishwasher.

I posted the wiring diagram for that model in the image below.

Your details indicate that the dishwasher won't start when you push the start button. Check the mushroom float in the bottom of the tub. Make sure that an item is not stuck under that mushroom float so that it is propped up in the "raised" position. This would prevent the dishwasher from filling. If you find no problems with that mushroom float, allow the dishwasher to sit for a while after pushing the start button to see if the motor begins to run even though it does not fill. This may isolate your failure to the fill function in the dishwasher.

If the dishwasher will not run at all, then the timer may need to be replaced.

These initial tips may help you determine the cause of your dishwasher failure. If you need parts, you can order them from this page: Kenmore Dishwasher Model 665.17679400 Repair Parts

Unplug the dishwasher before accessing and replacing internal components.

If you need more help, reply with additional details.
