The new dispenser below has two terminals so if you only have one then there is a problem with the one you have.

Thank you for your question. The dispenser should have a blue/black wire and a light blue wire hooked up to it.

There is also a rinse agent indicator that can be transferred from the old dispenser to the new dispenser. It has two red wires.

If you have only one connection then you have the wrong dispenser.

If the dishwasher is draining poorly then the fault may be with the drain pump or there may be something in the sump. First, check for any kinks in the drain hose and if the drain hose connects to the sink then check that it's not clogged there. The last thing to do is to access the parts in the sump and check for any debris that might partially block the pump out. The instructions to access the sump are in the 1st image below. Remember to turn the power to the dishwasher off first. There is a check valve flapper that might be allowing soapy water back into the tub. When the water drains out the check valve is suppose to prevent the soapy water from entering the tub. If this fails then you will have soapy water in the tub but the an inch of water you refer to seems a little much for this failure. The second image shows how to remove the drain pump if necessary. Check the drain hose for any kinks and for any obstructions where the drain hose connects to the house drain. Garbage disposals commonly get clogs on the nozzle where the drain hose hooks up. I hope this information helps to resolve this problem. If not reply back to this thread for further assistance. Thank you for choosing Manage My Life.

Q:

How do I clean the chopper screen on my Kenmore dishwasher model 665.17589200?

A:

I have provided you a detailed guide on how to access the chopper screen below. Your dishwasher might be slightly different. You may have a clip on the back wall that has a tab that has be pushed to the side to release the feed tube, instead of the screws. If you need further assistance please resubmit your question.
