Q:

Cycle to long 66517572200 Kenmore Under counter dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help you with the dishwasher. Upon researching model 66517572200 it doesn't show me the time it runs in the cycles. It does indicate that it can run in that cycle multiple times till the temperature is met. It could be the heating element is not up to temperature to keep the water heated. A thermostat could cause the heating element to sense not heat if it's not functioning aswell.

Q:

Cycle to long on dishwasher 66517572200 Kenmore Under counter dishwasher

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is problems with the dishwasher.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore Dishwasher model number 66517572200.

I suspect a problem with the water temperature. To check the water temperature start a cycle. Next, after the dishwasher start pumping the water, open the door and check the water temperature with a thermometer. The water temperature should be between 120-130 degrees. If the water temperature is colder than that, adjust the water temperature of the hot water heater. Also, if you use the options like high temp scrub or sani rinse that will add time. Those 2 options raise the water temperature inside the dishwasher to 155 degrees. Therefore, the dishwasher is just washing and heating the water inside. The time will not advance until, the water is at 155 degrees. To speed up the dishwasher, turn those two options off. Also, if you are using smart wash, make sure the dishes are dirty. If the dishes are already rinsed clean, the sensor will not detect any change. So it assumes the dishes are still dirty. After about 3 hours, it will finally finish the cycle. If you rinse the dishes before loading the dishwasher, I recommend using the china gentle.

The water is hot. Just using China Gentle on all washes. What is the temp range for China Gentle? We have set up the water to the dishwasher to HOT prior to the start. It seems to stay in the first mode for a long time, we usually end up going to drain (push the button), and followed by rinse to just end it. The dishwasher is in mint condition. Anyway to test the fuse or should I schedule a repair service?

Q:

How do I get the dishwasher door seal that frequently dislodges when opening the door to stay in place?

A:

It is possible that you have something sticky spilled on the gasket that causes it to pull out. Thoroughly clean the gasket with warm water and a small amount of detergent. Wipe the gasket down with plain water. Clean the surface of the inner door panel as well. If the gasket continues to pull out after cleaning it, then you can use some spots of silicone glue to fasten it into place so that it won't continue to pull out. Put one dot in the middle at the top and one on each corner. Put one dot in the middle of each side and at the bottom. Let the silicone glue dry thoroughly before using the dishwasher. This should keep the gasket in place.
