Question and Answers

Q:

tub filling with water while not running 66517512202 Kenmore Undercounter dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore dishwasher.

From the information you have provided above, I can understand the frustration of having your dishwasher malfunction, after researching model number 665.17512202. The problem seems to be coming from the inlet valve. The valve doesn’t seem to be closing allowing the water to continue to run in and overflow. The part number for the valve is 8531669.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

Q:

Sanitized Light 66517512202 Kenmore Undercounter dishwasher

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

I am sorry to hear of the issue you’re having with the sanitized light blinking on the dishwasher. I know how concerning that is to have happen.

The blinking "Sanitized" light indicates it did not reach the sanitized temperature. The flashing sanitize light indicates it did reach the sanitize temperature of 140-155 degrees in the final rinse.

The heating element could be bad, it may not be getting enough water, or the incoming water supply is not the minimum of 120 degrees. If the incoming water supply cools down during the wash cycles and fills with warm water between cycles, this too can cause it to not reach the needed temperature. I recommend running the hot water at the sink to let it reach the maximum temp before starting the dishwasher.

In order to identify the issue, the heating circuit would need to be tested with a meter to see if all the components are working properly. We would recommend having a technician help assist with the diagnosis and repair.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-469-4663, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.
