Question and Answers

Q:

I can not seem to find the door seal on this model. The part comes up as stock for $53 dollars. $53 dollars seems like an awful lot for a rubber seal. 66517363300 Kenmore Undercounter dishwasher

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

The door seal for the unit is located on the 'Tub And Frame Parts' schematic and is shown as number 3 on the diagram. The part number for it is W10542314. This door seal has been combined with the door strike kit, which is why it calls it a Strike on the website, which could be confusing. You are correct, the price is about $53 dollars for it.

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

In order to replace the heating element the dishwasher will need to be un-installed. The nut securing the two ends of the element cannot be access from the front of the dishwasher and this is why the dishwasher must be un-installed and then laid on its back. Disconnect the wires from the heating element, remove the nut and pull the element up and out from inside the tub.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
