Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

It does not matter on which side the Black wire or the Black wire with the white is connected on the thermal fuse. If any of the lights are functioning then the thermal fuse is Okay and wired correctly. You should check the door switch operation and check the power supply connections inside the electrical junction box located behind the toe plate. If all the connections are okay, the control panel assembly is most likely the cause of your symptoms.

I added a link to Lyle's previous answer. Follow the instructions on how to check the key pad operation. I believe all along the control panel was faulty and not the replacement or original control board.

The dishwasher does not need to run a complete cycle after installing a new control board.

Based on your symptoms and your previous question and details; your symptoms point to a stuck or shorted key on the control panel. You will likely find a stuck or shorted key on the console.
