Question and Answers

Q:

Pulsating sound 66517019403

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your dishwasher. Upon researching model 66517019403; know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your dishwasher. It would be a difficult to say without myself hearing it. Since the motor runs one direction in order to wash and it reverses direction in order to drain would eliminate a motor bearing failure since it does not make the noise when draining water. If the pump filter is restricted it could cause abnormal noises and vibration. If the dishwasher is not getting enough water fill or if it's sudsing up can also cause abnormal noises and vibration as the pump surges. It also could be the water line touching the motor too causing the noise. I would suggest you start with the filter first.

I trust that this information will help you, thank you have a great day.

Hi Sue,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

This is most likely an issue with a bad fill valve. Try this, disconnect power to the dishwasher, and turn the water back on. If the leak starts back then you have a bad fill valve. If the dishwasher does not leak then electrical checks will need to be made.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website; Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram or to purchase any parts needed for your Kenmore model number 665.17019403 dishwasher .

I hope this is helpful. If you need further assistance please reply to this post with more details.
