Thank you for submitting your question. I understand your concern and I will be happy to assist you. Without the model number of the dishwasher, I'm unable to provide model specific information. I show this rack goes to Maytag units. The image below is an insert out of a Maytag dishwasher owners manual. This insert will provide information regarding the placement of the silverware basket. If this is does not work for you, please reply back to this thread with the complete model number of your dishwasher for further assistance. I hope this helps. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Model 665.16994400 The diagram is great but the part I was sent does NOT have available space for the silverware rack. Don't know what I am to do. Clearly SEARS could care less.

Tykara, looking at the diagram you provided, how do I go about getting the bottom rack that is in the top picture of your diagram? That is what I need. The rack I was sent for the model number in my last post, does NOT have space for the utensil rack to be on the side, like the existing rack in my six year old washer. Thanks

Nick, pages 8-9 of your owners manual (link below) shows that your utensil basket is placed in the bottom rack. The parts diagram for your unit, shows the utensil basket is placed on the left side of your rack. If there isn't an open space for the basket, we need to research the part that was sent. Also, if you could attach a picture of the part you received would help further troubleshoot this issue.

Nick, the original part number for your lower rack was 8561705. This was substituted with the 8193795. I found the original rack available through an ebay seller (link below) but no were else. However, if we've sent the wrong part, then our Parts team needs to correct the issue for you and provide you with the proper replacement.

If the water will not fill then the problem will most likely be the water valve, timer or float switch.

The first thing to check is if the float is okay. Sometimes the basket will catch the float and pull it out of the standpipe. If the float is not in the standpipe then the float switch will be open and not allow a fill.

The water valve can be checked next for continuity if a meter is available. You can also listen for a hum during the fill cycle. A hum or vibration and no water would indicate a bad valve.

The 8283345 valve can be obtained from the following link: Sears PartsDirect .

The float switch can also be checked with a meter if one is available.

The timer would need to be checked for live voltage to the valve. I would suggest a technician do this.

I hope this helps. You can reply with any additional details for further assistance.
