Maestro with all due respect you are not real and you offer nothing except patronizing answers. I realize that being a chat person must be difficult. This is why I will never buy a sears product again. Sears Parts Direct does not stand behind their parts they send out. They have a hard time reaching the poor level of service regarding any appliance repair issue. God help anyone who buys from Sears.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I must assume the wire harness and leads were missing from the motor or box. The motor harness connector is part # 8271507. You can order the motor harness connector #8271507 from Sears Parts Direct. I would explain to them that the motor harness connector was missing from the new pump assembly and I they will likely ship to you at no cost or should ship to you at no cost.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Your suggestion did not help. It only confirmed what I already expected. The new part that is substituted came with a relay. That much I know. What I don't know is how to wire the new relay that never existed before. This part never existed for this dishwasher...yet it is now a requirement to be used with the substituted part provided by sears. I just want to know how to wire it and mount it. Instructions with a wiring diagram would be nice. Do you have any other suggestions ?? Is there an expert there that knows the answer to this inquiry??? I know the engineer who designed the retrofit workaround substitution knows the answer. Do you have his/her name ????? How do I contact that person ????? Did they supply instructions??????? Still waiting for an answer. Mr. Richard

The pump assembly is shown in the image below. This should fit in the same spot as the original assembly. The start relay is usually mounted to the front frame. If provides the starting power to the motor. Compare the image below with what you have and we'll go from there. The wiring diagram of a similar model is in the 2nd image below and may be helpful to you.

This is a step in the right direction. However, I cannot see the whole picture of the wiring diagram. It is cut in half. I found the start relay. Now I just need a wiring harness to plug this motor into and I'll be "back in the game".

Q:

Lower sprayarm update problem dishwasher

A:

I see the dilemma. How can you make a repair with a part that says it should fit and does not. Hopefully the expert will be able to help sort this out. You should have your answer within 24-48 hours or less.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The nozzle bearing should look like a thin clear nylon washer as shown in the image I added below. I do not show the part substituting or changing from its original looks or design. If the part you received does not look like the one in the image then you were likely shipped the wrong part.
