Hi Leonard,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

I am sorry you are having problems with your dishwasher.

There is not a lower seal for this dishwasher. If your dishwasher is leaking at the bottom of the door it is probably being caused by wave action. Try tightening all the screws on the top of the sump housing (the part under the lower spray arm). If these screws are loose water will shoot out to the side and right over the tub lip and will cause a leak under the door.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thanks again for using Manage My Life.

Q:

How does the pressure tower attach to the cap on my Kenmore dishwasher model 665.1684993?

A:

The pressure tower (part #5) attaches to the middle of the lower rack. The nozzle cap (part #23) screws onto the top of the nozzle bearing (part #24) and bottom spray arm (part #22) as shown in the image below. The pressure tower does not attach to the top of the nozzle cap. When the upper and lower rack is pushed into the dishwasher all of the way, the nozzle cap will align up with pressure tower attached to the lower rack which will align with the upper spray arm attached to the upper rack. See images below.
