Those screws are called Torx head screws. It will require a Torx screwdriver. The size is a T-15 or a T-20.

I recommend purchasing a T-15 and T-20 Torx head driver. I added an image below of what a Torx driver looks like.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thanks Joey. I have another question/problem related to my dishwasher. I cannot remove the chopper cover. I've removed the chopper screw and according to the self-help video the cover should just lift off but mine won't budge even with a little prying. I don't want to force it because I don't want to damage it. Any suggestions?

A:

Tony; The chopper cover is stuck. Try prying it up at both sides at the same time. Once the screw has been removed, the chopper should lift off. Be careful and keep trying.

The front panel only replacement should be fairly straight forward. The panel kit contains instructions but you can use the directions below to help. You did not mention if you already ordered the part. The panel with color to match your dishwasher can be ordered here ; Sears Parts Direct . Shut off breaker to the dishwasher or disconnect power. Open and lower dishwasher door. Remove screws from inside door. Image is below. Carefully close dishwasher door, Push down on panel to release and lift from door. Position new panel and move upward until it snaps in place. Open and lower door. Reinstall screws in door. Turn power back on. If further assistance is needed, please reply. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Thank you for submitting your question. You're correct you have a faulty water inlet valve. At the end of the wash cycle the solenoid in the valve is not closing properly to not allow water to re-enter the tub. For further assistance with this repair, please reply back to this thread with the complete model number of the dishwasher. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
