Thank you for your question. I can understand wanting to try a reset. If it will not respond to keypad command and all the led lights are on, I would first check to see if the Child Lock is activated. Press and hold the Air Dry key to turn off. If the Led's are blinking or one or more options are lit, then this is likely a stuck key or shorted circuit in keypad. If dashes appear in the display, then the door latch assembly is faulty or not making contact.  Try pressing in on the door, then press start. If the above does not restart the dishwasher, I would check the keypad if you have an ohm meter and feel confident making these checks. See image below. If the dishwasher still will not start, a diagnostic and further wiring checks need to be done. I recommend having a technician visit to diagnose and make repairs. You can schedule a technician at Sears Home Services. If further assistance is needed, please reply.  Thank you for using manage My Life.

Thank you for submitting your question. I understand your concern and I will be happy to assist you. If the cancel/drain button is the only button working, you more than likely have a stuck or shorted key on the touch pad. If you have an ohms/volt meter, you can test the keys on the touchpad to verify the part. The first image below will assist you in this procedure. You can order parts from our Sears Parts Direct web site. The second image below will help you access the touchpad properly for testing and replacement. I hope this helps. Please reply back to this thread if you require further assistance. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Tykara, thanks for the reply. The .jpg files provided in your reply are such low resolution as to be unreadable. Even if saved as from this page. If double clicked they open in my browser and saved and viewed from there are just as un-readable. Could you repost those in larger resolution or provide a link to the document for reference? Thanks again.

Mark, I apologize for the inconvenience regarding the images. We're experiencing issues with this and are in the process of fixing it. In the mean time, you have two choices to help you enlarge the images. The first choice is to use your "paint" tool on your computer. Save the image to your desktop. Then to access paint, click on your start menu button, then select "accessories", then open "paint". In paint, click on file then open and select the image off of your desktop. I know this is a process but it'll get you what you need. The other option is to click on your start menu button again, go back to "accessories", select "accessibility" , then select "magnifier". To view the image larger. I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist further.

Is there another image you're refering to other than the ones shown on this page? Because I am sorry but that doesn't work. The largest of these two images is 2k and is 49x64 pixels in size. No imaging program is going to provide a readable image with this small amount of information. Please see the attached image file do demonstrate my results using your recommended workaround. If I'm doing something wrong please let me know. Thanks again for your assistance.

Hello,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life. I know how frustrating it can be when appliances do not function properly.

This issue is most likely caused by one or more shorted buttons in the console/keypad assembly. I am including a portion of the tech sheet with the keypad checks. The diagnosis of this issue will require the use of an ohm/volt meter and you will have to perform ohm checks and/or live voltage checks. If you have an ohm/volt meter and are confident in your technical abilities, please utilize the checks below.

Here is a video that will demonstrate gaining access to the keypad assembly; Video . Always unplug or de-energize electrical equipment before removing covers or attempting service. Be careful and wear appropriate hand protection when working around sharp metal parts. This video is for demonstration purposes only. This dishwasher may not look exactly like yours, but the procedure is basically the same.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram and for parts purchases; Sears Parts Direct .

Hi Landell, Thanks for the very helpful info. Using your instructions I was able to verify that the problem was indeed the control/keypad assembly, as you suspected. I've ordered the replacement part. Thanks again! Eric
