Barbara - Thanks for the link to the manual and Reset info. Manual T/S section is no help and unfortunately the reset didn't help.. Still appears dead but we know there is voltage on the control board - No lights on the panel and door closed micro switches check out good. Washer did fail mid-cycle and left some water in the base. In the parts lest there is a fuse kit PN 8193762 from the picture they appear to maybe be fusable links anyone know if that could be the problem and where their located? IS this a normal failure mode for the control panel board ? As Murphy's Law would have it we had a Party over the weekend just after the dishwasher failed. Yep...dishes are really piling up!

This particular dishwasher does have a thermal fuse which controls the voltage reaching the control board.

If everything is dead but you're sure there is voltage then most likely the thermal fuse is open.

The thermal fuse is located in the console on the control board. It will have a black and black/white wire on it.

The wires can be removed and the fuse can be checked for continuity if you have access to a volt/ohm meter.

If you have no meter there is another way to check the thermal fuse. With the power to the dishwasher turned off remove the two wires from the thermal fuse and join them together with a small piece of insulated wire. With the fuse bypassed you can carefully turn the power to the dishwasher back on and see if you have any lights or display.

The images below may help you with this. Remember to turn the power off first.

If the fuse is okay then check the wire nuts on the incoming power code. Where the wires are wire together behind the front kick paneal

Okay, so assuming that my problem is the thermal fuse, how do I get to the fuse to test it?

Thank you for your response. I checked out the dishwasher and was able to see the springs and found the spring on the left side was broken. I have another question I forgot to asked. When the spring broke, my wife also found a bushing (part # 8268990). Do you know where that part connect/fits on the dishwasher or door? Thanks. BTW.. I wasn't using bad language in my first question. I was using quotes and it appears they were translated to special characters..... So I will refrain from using quotes....

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

Lee thanks for writting back.   Sorry for the configuration of things on the computer.   I knew you didn't say anything wrong so no problem.

This part number 8268990 the "door spring bushing" is attached there on the lower part of the tub.   I will send you a picture of the tub area.   If you look on the lower part of the tub, you will se a stem sticking out.  It goes there.
