Question and Answers

Q:

Kenmore Elite Model # 665.15892100. The water is dripping from the lower right corner of the door. It starts shortly after the cycle starts. Thanks for any help you can give me. Kenmore Undercounte...

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
Sorry to hear of the water leak at the right-bottom corner of the dishwasher, I know how concerning that is to have occur.
Some models of dishwashers will have lower corner gaskets, but this model doesn't have that design. If you open the door and look at the door seal, are there any cracks or pieces torn from the seal? Especially in the right corner area. If not, I have a few other suggestions:

A leak from the corner can also be caused by the dishwasher not being level, a leaking vent gasket, or a spray arm that has one of the holes partially blocked or is split.
This can be a difficult problem to diagnose and first try pushing on the door for a tighter fit and see if the leak stops.
You can also use a screwdriver to prevent the lower spray arm from turning and see if the leak stops.
The dishwasher should be level side to side. The front of the dishwasher can be raised about 1/4 inch higher than then back and this may help stop the leak.
Hopefully these suggestions help you isolate the issue and allow you to fix it.
If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, you can call 1-800-349-5071, or click here to be directed to the page to set up service.
Hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Q:

Leak at float assembly 665.15892100

A:

Pull the float assembly straight up and out of that hole in the bottom of the tub. Check the tub in that area for a hole or crack. Check the float assembly for any visible damage. If the float and the tub are both okay, then your problem is likely caused by a wave action being created in the tub. The water will slosh over the top of the opening for the float assembly stem and then leak down below the dishwasher when a wave action is created in the tub. That wave action can be caused by a cracked or split sprayarm. Check teh sprayarms for damage. Make sure that they are not blocked when the cycle is running.

These tips may help you resolve that leaking problem. If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

Q:

Possable pump? 66515892100 Kenmore Undercounter dishwasher

A:

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your dishwasher. Debris that is in the sump in the area of the chopper blade could be making a loud noise when the pump is running. To check this sump area, disconnect electrical power to the dishwasher and open the sump assembly. The image below will provide the directions on how to do this. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, please click on this link to schedule service: Sears Home Services. Click on "Get Started" and follow the directions, click on the red "NEXT" button to continue. I hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help. Thank you for using Manage My Life.com.
