Q:

dishwasher water not hot, even when put on pots & pans

A:

I can understand the importance of having hot water to sanitize your dishes.  I'm wondering if it might not be a timer problem.  I've located a link that will discuss this topic in greater detail.   Click here to view the link.  Though this link discusses a different model number,
the mechanics are likely going to be very similar. Keep in mind that an expert will be
responding within the next two business days if not sooner and will likely offer you more information and
instruction. I hope this information will be helpful and have a nice day.

Thank you for your question. It is very frustrating when we run the dishwasher and the dishes do not look clean. If your dishwasher is hooked up to the hot water, then the water coming in should be at least 110 degrees. If the water heater is 25 feet or less away from the dishwasher. If the dishwasher is more than 25 feet, try running the hot water tap before starting. The heater only turns on during the heated dry cycle. If you put it on pots and pans it gets to the temperature 120 degree. And that is the hottest it can get. However if the thermostat has gone out it will also affect the temp.Heating element for the dry option.

Here are some test to perform thermistor = 48.5k ohms, Heat Element 10 ohms. These test can be performed with a multi tester. thermistor part number 8269213 Substitution part number: 8193762 Part number for heating element 8572861 Substitution: W10134009

Q:

I have little or no water coming from the top rack of the dishwasher, and the arm is not spinning at the top.

A:

Dishwasher are great time and labor savors. When they don't clean the dishes it creates more work. While you wait for the expert you might check the two links below for some help. The first link is for your model unit and has some suggestions you might try. The second link is not your model but the advice from the expert and the video may help clear up this issue. Hope some of this information helps while you wait for your expert.

A:

That first link for a previous answer that Barbara H. posted in the above response shows how to access the chopper blade area of the sump assembly in this type of dishwasher. I recommend that you shut off the circuit breaker for the dishwasher and check that area for a foreign object. A clog or obstruction in that area is often the cause of poor upper rack water spray. Based on your description of the humming noise, it is likely that you will find the cause of your problem in that area.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
