Q:

Could a missing deflector (part #: 8268872) cause a leak? 66515822000 Kenmore Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your dishwasher. Upon researching model 66515822000; yes, the corner deflectors are used to prevent leaks from the lower sides of the unit. So if you are missing a deflector then the unit will leak from the side that the deflector is missing on. I have posted a link of the deflector to view the link click here.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.

Q:

no start....quick rinse light constant flash 665 15822

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com. I regret to hear that you are having issues with your dishwasher and do understand your frustration.

Glad to help out. Im looking at your model number 66515822000 .

When the Quick Rinse light flashes, this indicates a stuck button on the keypad control panel. If resetting the power did not help, this would indicate that the touchpad control will have to be replaced.

Your symptom points towards a possible shorted or stuck key pad on the console with active overlay. In order to verify if the "quick rinse" key pad is stuck or shorted will require the use of an ohm meter. The "quick rinse” button can be test by disconnecting P1 connector from the control board and placing the positive/red meter lead on ribbon connector P1-13 and the negative/black meter lead on P1-2 to see if it shows continuity or some type of readable ohm level. NOTE: You are testing the console connector and not the connector pins on the control board. If it shows open/infinity, with meter leads still connected, press the Quick Rinse button and it should show continuity. Release the button and the meter should show open or infinity resistance. If the quick rinse key pad is not sticking or shorted out, the likely failure is the control board.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your dishwasher.
