Q:

is the solenoid on this model 5 W or 10 W? 66515701891 Kenmore Undercounter dishwasher

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Dishwasher, Model: 665.15701891. From reviewing the details on your model, it appears that the wattage of the solenoid for this dishwasher is not available. The manufacture does not provide us with individual wattage on parts. I have found the water valve and have linked it up for your convenience.

Q:

What is causing water to be left in bottom of my dishwasher?

A:

The model number you submitted is not a valid model number. Without having a valid model number I can not be certain of the type of pump or drain system it has.

There is a good possibility the blockage is inside the check valve fitting. This is the fitting that the drain hose is connected to at the pump.

  1. Disconnect the power to the dishwasher.
  2. Remove the lower toe panel by removing the screws securing it to the frame.
  3. Remove the drain hose clamp and remove the drain hose from the pump. NOTE: Be sure to remove all the water first and have a towel handy.
  4. Remove the drain fitting from the sump by turning it counterclockwise (CCW).
  5. Check and clean out any debris from inside the port of the sump where the drain fitting was screwed into and any debris inside the fitting.
  6. Reverse the procedure and recheck the drain operation.

If you do not have this style of pump with a removable drain fitting, resubmit your question with a valid model number for model specific instructions.

A:

I see Marc provided you with excellent information. Generally, appliances do not have a reset button and the only way to clear the control would be to disconnect the dishwasher from the outlet or by switching off the designated circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. Then, restore the power and run a cycle. If the reset doesn't work, there may be an internal issue that requires repair.

I hope this helps.
