Q:

STANDING WATER 66513882K800 Kenmore Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more than happy to assist you. I can understand any frustration you may have experienced with regards to your unit. Let’s see what we can do for you.

How much water is in the bottom of the dishwasher? Because there is going to be some in the bottom not a lot but there will be some water. When the pump is running and it turns off the water from the tube that never got out will run back into the dish washer.

Hope this information has helped you. If you are not comfortable doing this repair you can click here to schedule a technician or call toll free 1-800-469-4663. Again, thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com.

Q:

Water Leak at motor-diverter 66513882k800 Kenmore Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your dishwasher. Upon researching model 66513882k800; I would make sure it’s the diverter valve that is causing the leak. The valve seals with the sump. The sump could be worn out or it could be both that are not making a good seal. You could go through the bottom panel under the dishwasher. It might be easier to go through the back underneath. I just depend on how the parts are laid out and what kinds of tools are being used.

Thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business. Have a great day.

From the description you give I suspect the console is the problem. With no display lights at all the usual suspect would be the thermal fuse/bi-metal. If the fuse/bi-metal is bad then there will be no display lights at all. If the cancel cycle runs the drain pump then the thermal fuse/bi-metal is likely okay. If you just replaced the control then recheck the P1 connection where the interface/console ribbon connects. Remember to turn the power off first. You should be able to select various cycles and options even if the dishwasher doesn't work. The image below has a couple of additional test you can try. You can reply with what happens in the test and we will decide the next step.

Sorry for the missing information. After you turn the power off and remove the console remove the keypad ribbon connector at P. Put the console back together and don't shut the door. Turn the power back on and wait 5 seconds then shut the door. If the control is okay then the drain motor should start to run after 5-10 seconds. If the control still has a problem with the ribbon disconnected then the drain motor will not run.
