It is likely that you have some build-up in the sump of that dishwasher that is causing the odor that you are describing. The image below shows how to access the chopper blade area of the sump in this type of dishwasher. Your model of dishwasher may look slightly different than the one shown below but the access procedure is basically the same. Shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher before you begin this procedure.

If you are able to access that chopper blade are of the sump, you may find the cause of your odor problem. Cleaning that area may fix your problem. Examine that check valve shown in the image below. Replace that part if necessary.

You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website if needed.

After cleaning the sump area of this dishwasher, I recommend that you use a dishwasher cleaner such as Dishwasher Magic. This type of cleaner will probably help remove any remaining odor problems.
