Question and Answers

Q:

Lights blinking and unit won't star when pressing start 66513832K601 Kenmore Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I will be more then happy to assist you. Assuming the dishwasher is getting the proper voltage supply; the first component to check is the thermal fuse located inside the control panel. You will need an Ohm meter in order to check the thermal fuse. The thermal fuse is connected in a series circuit between the tan wire on the door switch and P8 connector on the control board. Disconnect the two tan wires from the thermal fuse before checking the fuse for continuity. If you find the thermal fuse open/no continuity, then it needs to be replaced. A:

Hi!

Is any of the lights on the control board lit? If they are that's good ! But something has to have happen to the door latch switch ... Turning off the breaker to the dishwasher might do the trick !

Heres the link for the diagrams on the machine.

Let me know how it turns out.

here are a couple of things you can check out.

  • The door must be completely closed and the latch must be fully engaged.
  • Make sure there are no obstructions keeping the door from latching properly.
  • If an item has been added during the cycle process, the door must be closed and latched completely for the cycle to resume.
  • For some models, you must press the START/RESUME button in order for the cycle to start again.
  • You also may have a bad electronic control board and it may need to be replaced.

I recommend calling a service technician to properly diagnose and repair your dishwasher. If you have further questions please let me know.
