Thanks for the question about your dishwasher model 665.13823k601 that is not cleaning dishes. I will be happy to assist with this.

If I understand your question correctly, the center hub does not move but the spray tower around the center hub does move freely. This spray tower is controlled by water pressure from the motor and pump located under the tub of the dishwasher.

A couple things to check; if the spray arm is not moving then the dishwasher will not clean properly.( the upper spray arm included) This can be caused by low water level, clogged spray arm , or pump failure. The most common of theses is low water level in tub. There should be, after the fill cycle a minimum of 1 1/2 inches of water in bottom of tub,( side to side front to back.) Low water is normally caused by a faulty water inlet valve or low water pressure supplied to the dishwasher from your plumbing.

Check to see if water supply is turned on all the way. Also check the spray arm for debris clogging the spray holes (clean if needed.) If you determine that water level is good and spray arm is not clogged then I would suggest a technician. If you should need further assistance after theses checks reply with more details.

Thanks Ron H.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

To remove the lower spray arm you will need to hold the spray arm from rotating and turn the spray arm nut clockwise (CW) until you can lift the spray arm off.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Some dishwasher installations have a light switch beside the sink that will shut off power to that appliance. Check for a light switch turned off beside the sink. Check the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher to make sure that it is not tripped. Shut that breaker off and then reset it to restore power. See if the keypad will light up after following these basic troubleshooting tips.

Before you replace that control board, I recommend that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher_ and check the bi-metal fuse in that console. The first image below shows how to access the control board in that console. The second image shows the location of that thermal fuse that you will find on the control board. You can test that fuse using the procedure shown in this brief video: Thermal Fuse Testing . If that fuse is blown, then it will need to be replaced. You can order that part from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number is 661663. Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breaker for the dishwasher before accessing internal components and replacing that fuse.

If the thermal fuse is okay, you will probably need to replace that electronic control board (part 8575277 that substitutes to new part number W10084141). That component is shown in the second image below. There is a chance that you have a voltage supply problem that is preventing the console from lighting up. You may want to shut off the circuit breaker for the dishwasher and check the wiring connections in the terminal box (see third image). Here is a link for the installation instructions that will help you access that terminal box: Installation Manual . A technician would normally check the voltage supply going to the control board before replacing that component but I do not recommend that you perform that test.

If you replace the control board and still have problems, then you may also need to replace the control panel (part 8558202 -- this is the black color of control panel).

These tests and repairs can normally be completed by a DIY'er. If you need more help, let us know and we will assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
