Hello Tim. I am sorry to hear about the problem that you are having with your Kenmore Dishwasher Model 665.13799K600.

I see that Joseph P. posted a link for a previous answer that provides some good general advice. If the dishwasher appears to be leaking from the bottom of the front door, then I recommend that you check the spray arms for splits or cracks. Clean the holes in the spray arms using a toothpick or bamboo skewer if you see deposits or debris in the holes of the spray arms. Check the gasket around the door opening -- especially at the bottom. These tips may help you determine the cause of the leak.

If you need more help, reply with additional details about the location of the leak and we will try to assist you further.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician examine the dishwasher and repair this problem, you can schedule service on this page: Sears Home Services Dishwasher Repair.

Q:

Problem with dishwasher

A:

Dishwasher doors are opened and shut so many times it is not surprising that eventually the mechanism needs to be replaced. The expert will review your model and respond but if you would like to check a previous expert post I attached below. I also added the link for your dishwasher model to Sears Parts Direct for the parts and schematics if needed. Hope this information helps.

From the description you give I suspect either the spring or the rope broke.

You will need to pull the dishwasher from under the cabinet to access and change the spring and/or rope. There should be enough slack so that you don't have to disconnect the water, power and drain lines. _

Remember to turn the power off first.

The 8270182 spring and 8194001 rope can be obtained from the following link: Sears PartsDirect .

I hope this information is helpful to you. You can reply with any additional details or questions for further assistance.
