I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your dishwasher. The image below will provide the directions on how to remove and clean the filter. I recommend using Dishwasher Magic to clean and disinfect the inside of your dishwasher. This should eliminate the odor. Use this product once a month if needed to keep the dishwasher from smelling sour. If you wash loads with plastic dishes, I recommend unloading the dishwasher within a few hours after the cycle is finished. Plastic dishes do not retain heat and will not normally dry in the dishwasher like glass or metal dishes will. The moisture from these dishes can help to cause a sour smell. Leaving the door cracked open between loads may be necessary to help eliminate and prevent the sour smell.   I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

The image below is not a step by step but I believe it will help you with this project.

The part number you submitted is for the entire sump/motor assembly.

You will want to remove the feed tube from inside the tub. You will also need to remove the drain hose and motor harness.

The image shows three tabs. These tabs are what hold the dishwasher motor in position. Remove the tabs and the motor assembly can be pushed up and out through the tub.

The rubber gasket may be stuck and require a little extra pushing up on the sump assembly.

You will not have to remove the wash motor. Ignore that part of the image

My pump motor bearing and shaft have also corroded and this produces loud noises when run. I suspected and confirmed this after I disassembled the dishwasher down to the motor its self. I used some WD-40 and clean up the failing parts as best I could to get few more washes out of it until I could get the parts in hand. Its clear to me how and what needs to be done. My question is this: How can I prevent this in the future? It seems the issue will repeat unless there has been an improvement on the seal etc. Do you recommend using a little grease when replacing the seal? Please help!
