Fred, would you mind posting a higher resolution image of the instructions you posted in 2013 above? The image is currently too small. I am interested to read the instructions to test for a stuck or shorted keypad on my dishwasher, same model. Thank you for your help.

From the description you give I suspect the console has a stuck or shorted keypad.

If there are no lights at all then normally I'd say start by checking the bi-metal/thermal fuse in the console. A wire may have pulled loose when you were trying to fix it.

The bi-metal/thermal fuse should have continuity across the terminals if checked with an ohm meter. Remember to turn the power to the dishwasher off first.

The images below may be helpful to you. There's no reason for the fuse to blow but if everything is dead then I'd still start by checking the fuse.

Thanks, I have replaced the control panel and the dishwasher works, but only on 'Normal' wash. I can't seem to get the other modes to work, such as 'Smart Wash'. The keypads aren't responding except for 'Normal Wash'. I've hit 'cancel/drain' each time to reset with no luck.

You should be able to select all the cycles and options. Make sure the control lock feature is not turned on. You can use the Heated Dry/Air Dry keypad to toggle the control lock feature on and off. If you just replaced the console then try redoing the ribbon connector with the power turned off.

This is the same thing that happened to my Kenmore 66513749k603 dishwasher. I have purchased and installed the new control board... it went through a short diagnostic test and the 'washing' light came on. After that nothing, and no buttons work. How do I test thermistor or OWI sensor

I did the test with the new control board and it went to the drain cycle with no lights at all...so I put the old board in and did the same test with the same results the drain cycle came on. I will be sending back the new board...now should I order a keypad.

I am having the same problem with the same dishwasher. My dishwasher is 14 months old, I had a Sears tech out to look at it yesterday and said that I need a new control panel which will cost around $350 to replace it.

Glenda, if the dishwasher drained with no lights then likely the console/interface needs to be replaced. Kelly if you have a few basic tools then replacing the console can be a do-it-yourself problem. Glenda, I'm sure you can replace the console yourself if you wish. Let me know and I'll provide some instructions and images.

Q:

How do I remove the accumulator assembly on my Kenmore dishwasher model 665.13752K601?

A:

The image below shows the basic procedure for removing the accumulator assembly and other components on this type of dishwasher. Your exact model will have a different inner feed tube assembly. You will probably not find screws that attach this assembly to the back wall of the dishwasher. Yours should be secured with clips. The basic procedure is the same even though your model is slightly different. Once you remove the spray arm assembly from the top of the accumulator, you should see the screws that secure it to the top of the sump.
