Question and Answers

Q:

Why doesn't my Kenmore dishwasher dry the dishes? 66513749K603 Kenmore Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your dishwasher. Upon researching model 66513749K603; you can unplug the dishwasher power cord and remove the heat element when the unit is not hot. With the heat element removed you can test the element for continuity using a multi meter, if the element test reads continuity then the element is ok. If the continuity test reads no continuity then you may need to replace the heat element. The heat element is the part that creates heat in the unit to dry the dishes so when it fails it can cause the dishes not to dry. I have posted a link of the heat element to view the link click here.

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your lawn mower.

Q:

will not start 66513749K603 Kenmore Dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your dishwasher will not start.

When a dishwasher does not start the parts could be the door switch, control panel, and  thermal fuse.

If some of the lights on the control are not working, then that would point to the control board.

If it is just the start button that is not illuminating or working then there could be an issue with the door switch.

Won’t Start and Start/Resume Key LED Flashes

3 Times When Start/Resume Key is Pressed:

Control programmed to not start if it suspects door switch is stuck closed. Control looks for switch to open between cycles.
? Customer didn’t open
door between cycles.
? Door switch contacts
stuck closed

One or More Keys Won’t Respond Open key or LED circuit(s) on the keypad, or open circuits on the control to the keys andLEDs.

I have attached the instructions to test your keypad operation to make sure it is your control board that needs to be replaced.

Q:

Access to wiring harness beneath lower arm/filter assembly Kenmore Dishwasher 66513749K603

A:

Thank you for choosing Searspartsdirect.com and being a valued member. I can certainly assist you.

Usually on a dishwasher the back does not come off. The harness is connected to the control board in the front. Also to access the parts you would need to tip the dishwasher over and access it through the bottom of the dishwasher. This will allow you to view the bottom half of the unit.
