Based off your description, you may be experiencing an issue with a shorted or stuck key on the touch pad (W10243209) for your dishwasher. To verify the part, if you have an ohms/volt meter you can perform a key test for the touch pad (image two). The first image below will assist you with accessing the touch pad for testing. Time and money spent on parts replacements that do not fix the problem can be upsetting. Since there are no lights on the control, it sounds like a interface failure. First, I would recommend checking to see if the on/off switch often found under the sink has been switched off. Second, I would verify voltage to the dishwasher to eliminate any bad or weak breaker or outlet. If you have already done this, then move on to the next suggestion. If not, this Video can help.

If the voltage checks good, then check for loose connections in dishwasher power up circuit or between keypad and control.

Remember to disconnect power to the dishwasher before any service or repair .

This may be open or shorted circuits in the keypad or a faulty control. Since you have already replaced the bi-metal fuse, check harness to see if it needs to be replaced.

Use the image below for diagnostic help, specifically for the keypad check. These checks can end up being extensive. If you decide a technician would help, you can schedule a Sears technician here; Sears Home Services .

If further assistance is needed, please reply. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

This model of dishwasher does not have a removable filter accessible to the customer for regular cleaning. The filter on this model has to be accessed & removed with tools. I recommend trying the suggested troubleshooting tips provided in the image below first. If the suggestions do not help then you may want to remove the pump assembly upper section that has a filter, if you decide please get back with us on this. Remember to disconnect power to the dishwasher before attempting access if you decide to.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. If you are not comfortable with doing any voltage checks that might be recommended, please contact your local service provider for repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.
