A:

The water fill circuit consist of the control, water valve and float switch. Does the dishwasher drain? This unit has a circulation motor and a drain motor. If the drain motor works then the door switches are okay. For a no fill problem first check the float is in position. If the float is out of position then the unit will not rill. Lift up and down on the float and listen for a click from the flood switch. You can also access the water valve and see if it vibrates or hums when it should be filling. Let me know if you find anything and reply with any additional details for further assistance.

Thank you for the links. One more comment I should add is that the lock LED is not illuminated. I tried holding down the HeatedDry button for 10 seconds with no change (still wont start).

Hi Jay,

Thank you for submitting a question to Manage My Life.

From your description you most likely have a bad console, the door switch does not have to be made for the unit to light, but it must work to get the unit to start. I am including the information for checking the keypad in the image below. If the console buttons work according to the information below, ohm both door switches.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Here is a link that you may use to view the parts list diagram and for parts purchases; Sears Parts Direct .

I hope this is helpful. Check the things I have covered here, and if I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
