Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with you question about the power nut for your Kenmore Compactor. I am so sorry to hear you are having difficulty installing the new parts. I understand how frustrating that can be. I will be happy to help you with this. If the power nuts are not threading onto the power screws, it sounds like the screws may be dry and need to be greased. I have included the link to order the power screw grease.

Grease for Kenmore Compactor model 66513613101.

Be sure the new power nuts are threaded onto the power screws evenly otherwise you may have a problem with an unlevel ram which can cause the new power nuts to break prematurely.

If you are not comfortable with completing the repair yourself, you can have the unit repaired in your home by a Sears technician. To schedule service, please go to www.SearsHomeServices.com or call 1-800-469-4663. Please let me know if I can be of any further assistance by responding to this thread. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.
