Kenmore Dishwasher selector panel 665.13469k901

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and being a valued member.  I can certainly understand how frustrating it can be when your dishwasher is not working properly.

I have attached how to check the keypad operation to rule out the control board.

If the start key will not illuminate, then you could be experiencing an issue with a shorted or stuck key on the touch pad (W10243209). If you have an ohms/volt meter you can perform a key test on the touch pad for the dishwasher. The first image will assist you in accessing this area and the second image will instruct you on the key test. If the key test checks out good, the issue could be with th door switches (8269209) or main control board (W10285179). You can order parts from our Sears Parts Direct web site. I hope this help. If you do not feel comfortable performing test or repairing this problem yourself, I recommend scheduling for service. You can schedule for service online with our Sears Home Services team. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

First I suggest you get into the sump and check for any obstructions that might be jamming the circulation motor.

If checking the sump does not work, I recommend having a service technician diagnose the unit.

This very close to my problem with one change. Eventually I can get the unit to run. It sometimes takes unplugging the unit, other times just keep starting the cycle. (it most often stops going from prewash to wash. Twice now something else has happened. The dishwasher was running, but there was no water in the dishwasher. This did not not happen back to back, just randomly. about 1 out of 10 times it works perfectly.

I include this followup to help anyone else who has a similar problem. Although the expert recommended clearing the sump this is a fairly involved process that essentially requires dis-assembly of much of the dishwasher, and, while waiting for the expert reply I had done some more online research. I found that others with my same problem fixed it by replacing the Electronic Control Board. Since this board is relatively inexpensive and easy to replace I decided to try that first and voila! My dishwasher now works. The part I used for this model is: W10084142. Installation is easy and only requires removing half a dozen screws to release the control panel assembly at the top of the door. (On my model the screws had Torx (star shaped) T15 heads so a phillips head screwdriver won't do.) The Electronic Control Board is then easily accessible. Replacing the board completely fixed my problem and the dishwasher is running through the cycle just as it should. One more thing I found that may be of help is how to run the diagnostic tests on this model: Press the following keys in less than 6 seconds. HEATED DRY - NORMAL - HEATED DRY - NORMAL and then let it go through all the functions. When I did this before replacing the Electronic Control Board I found that the dishwasher WAS able to run the wash cycle in diagnostic mode. This made it seem even more unlikely that there was something jamming the sump, and encouraged me to go ahead and order the board. I'm glad I found the fix but I am disappointed in the expert help I received on this issue. At a minimum, it would have been helpful for the service expert to at least relate how to run the diagnostics. It also would have been a big waste of time for me to follow the advice to dis-assemble the sump to look for obstructions so I have no idea why I was advised to try that without ever running through the system tests.

washer will not drain. is there a way to check if it is pluged 66513469K901 Kenmore Undercounter dishwasher

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore dishwasher.

From the information you have provided above,  you will want to check for any clogs in the drain hose or in the pump itself. If there are any broken pieces on the pump the whole pump will need to be replaced. Here is a link to remove the pump and check for any clogs. Click here.

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.
