Question and Answers

Q:

Wash arms not spinning 66513152K700 Kenmore Elite Dishwasher

A:

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your dishwasher. from what you are describing is sounds like the diverter valve is stuck in the turbo zone. If this is the case, then it would cause this type of problem. The diverter valve will most likely need to be replaced. However, before doing this, I would suggest you run a diagnostics cycle on the unit. The image below will provide the information on how to do this. If you don't feel comfortable doing this yourself, please click on this link to schedule service: Sears Home Services. Click on "Get Started" and follow the directions, click on the red "NEXT" button to continue. I hope this helps. Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance. We are always here to help. Thank you for using Manage My Life.com.

Q:

Grinding noise when the pump is on. 66513152K700 Kenmore Elite Dishwasher

A:

Thank You for contacting ManageMyLife.com

I understand your frustration when your dishwasher stops working. It is likely that a foreign object worked its way down into the chopper blade area of the sump in your dishwasher.  You can shut off the breaker and access the chopper blade area of the sump.

There is a chance that you will find an obstruction in the chopper blade area. If you clear the obstruction out, the dishwasher may work normally.

The repair of this dishwasher can become complicated and tedious. There is a good chance that water seals will leak if the dishwasher is not reassembled properly. A technician is normally needed to diagnose and repair a major problem in the pump of this dishwasher. If you want to have the dishwasher repaired by a technician, you can schedule service using this link: Sears Home Services .

If you have further questions please let me know.

Hello,

I would like to assist you with your dishwasher question. The drain pump running at the beginning of the cycle is completely normal according to the service guide. I have included an excerpt from the guide, attached at the end of this reply. The drain pump operation at the beginning of the cycle is normally done to purge the lower pump assembly of any remaining water from the last wash.

Please let me know if you would like any further assistance.

Thank you for your question.

I am sorry you are having a problem with the dishwasher. I will be happy to assist you with replacing the latch. Before you start the repair, turn the power off going to the dishwasher. Then click on the images below. The images contain the instructions for taking the door apart to access the door latch. Once the door is apart note the location of the wires before you remove them once you know where the wire attach take them off and replace the latch. After you have the wires connected, reassemble the door in the reverse order.

A:

The 6 blinks followed by 1 blink indicates a problem with the motor fuse or neutral side door switch.

The motor fuse is not the same as the thermal fuse/bimetal.

It is located in the harness as shown in the 3rd image.

I'd suggest first checking the wires on the door switches are tight and not loose.

I hope this helps. You can reply with any additional details or questions for further assistance.

I'm glad running the diagnostic test cleared the problem. If there is a problem with the heating circuit then the clean light may start flashing again.
