My model #665.13123k702. This has been an on going battle. I have had a local repair company out several times for this problem, but it only lasts a few weeks. I find that if I turn off the heated dry the dishwasher can complete a cycle, but now with the heated dry off the clean light is still blinking. It always blinks the same code 1blink long pause 8 quick blinks pause 1 blink long pause etc

Thank you for taking time and submitting your question, I understand your concern with your dishwasher. I will be glad to help you. With out having a complete model number I can only provide general information, The dishwasher may stop and the clean light will start blinking when it does not detect a water temperature rise during the water heat mode. It could be various reasons for this to happen.

Bad heating element

Control board

Lack of water

Open neutral door switch

Wash motor

The blinking light can be reset by shutting the door and pressing Heated Dry, Normal, Heated Dry, Normal and let it run about 4 minutes and then press Cancel/Drain and let it complete the drain cycle. It will not resolve the problem but it will get it going again.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your dishwasher. To set service you can go to Sears Home Services.com.

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with dishwasher. There may be a restriction in the check valve which is apart of your drain hose. The usual way to check this problem is to remove the drain hose from under the sink and put it over a pan and initiate a drain cycle. However, if you've already cleared and checked the lines, then the check valve will need to be replaced. The drain hose check valve assembly is W10137608. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Ok, thanks Aashe and AnneJ. The check valve sounds like the one thing I haven't examined closely yet. I'll try replacing it and seeing if that helps. I'll report back either way.

Just reporting back. Finally had some success after replacing the drain hose. I found a 1/2 chip off of one of our plates in the middle of it that must have sometimes affected the check valve. With the hose replaced, things seem to be working normally. So far, so good, anyway. Thanks for the help!
