Q:

dishwasher wont start 66513112K700 Kenmore Elite Dishwasher

A:

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your dishwasher. Your dishwasher has 2 motors, one wash motor and one drain motor. Based on you symptom and details the wash motor is likely jammed or has failed. Since your hearing the motor hum, it likely has a jammed chopper blade (key#6) or a jammed wash impeller (key#20) however there is chance the motor capacitor could have failed or a wire may have come loose from the capacitor. I recommend checking for a jammed chopper blade or wash impeller first before check the motor capacitor for a loose wire. You will need to access and remove the chopper blade and then see if you can rotate the wash impeller. NOTE: You do not need to remove the pump/motor assembly in order to check for a jammed impeller. If it's jammed and you’re not able to remove the object you may need to remove the pump/motor assembly and then remove the wash motor. See images below. From what you described it sounds like the Upper Spray Arm W10082841 is stalled or not receiving proper water supply. When you push the upper rack in be sure the Probe W10082831 is inserted completely into the Feed Tube Assembly. Also, be sure the feed tube port that is not being used closes off to assure water is directed only to the upper spray arm. You can check for proper water distribution by placing 4 coffee cups rightside up in each corner of the upper rack. After filling the tub let the Kenmore Elite Dishwaher 665.13112K700 run for 45 seconds & stop the unit. All 4 coffee cups should be full of water. If not then you either have too low of a water charge or poor distribution throughout the wash motor assembly. For a low water charge I recommend replacing the Inlet Valve. For poor circulation I recommend checking the wash motor/pump assembly.

Please see the images provided below for complete step by step instructions.

Remember to disconnect power before attempting access.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

SAFETY NOTICE: Be sure to disconnect power to the appliance before performing any repairs. Be aware that there could be sharp edges inside the appliance that could cause cuts or other injuries to yourself or others.
