Q:

Conversion of Kenmore Gas Range from Natural Gas to LP 790.32643314

A:

I apologize for the confusion regarding that LP conversion kit.

Keep in mind that the LP conversion should be completed by a qualified installer.

The three 15L orifices should be used instead of the 74L orifices on the long bridge burner.

I've contacted the manufacturer to have the LP conversion kit instructions corrected.

If you need more help, let us know.

Thanks for choosing Sears PartsDirect.

Would the same answer apply to Kenmore Elite slide-in range model 79032633315? We were also supplied with three 15 L orifices for the bridge even though the chart says we should use 74 L's. We have been on the phone for hours. Nobody has a clue.

Another question on the Kenmore Elite, model 70932633315- for the LP conversion, there was no instructions to change the oven broiler oriface. We just flipped the pressure regulator plug and did the eight new orifices for the surface burners. The broiler has way too much gas. Turning the air shutter for the broil burner in the oven tube seems to have no effect. What to do????

Q:

top spary arm, on diswasher does not spin 662.17593200

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your dishwasher. Upon researching model 662.17593200; if you notice resistance when trying to manually spin the spray arms then that would normally indicate that there debris stopping the arm from spinning properly and in this case you would have to remove the spray arms and clean then. If the spray arms spin freely manually turning them, then you may want to clean the filter. When the filter is clogged it will decrease the water pressure causing the spray arms not to spin during cycle.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.

Kenmore Vacuum Model #116.28614

A:

The attachments for a vacuum always seem to get lost or fail and most of the time we muddle along. It would be better to take action and a good place to find those parts is Sears Parts Direct. I attached the link for your model. The schematics can help identify the part needed and there are contacts to get help as well. I hope this helps while you wait for the expert.

Thank you for your question on the extension wand in place.

There are two springs and one pin that are captured in the knob cap of the wand.

The only thing I can think of is one of the springs popped out of place and is no longer holding the pin in the center lock position.

The sliding knob that captures the two springs may have internal broken and is no longer holding the spring in place.

The only way it can escape is if someone took it apart.

You will have to remove the two retainer clips on the side of the wand and the remove the plastic retainers to get that part open.

Yes you can order this part as well as the wands.

I think I would order the sliding knob the two springs and the pin.

My extension wand has failed as well. The plastic piece that holds it all together has broken and the pin and spring have come out. It seems like a very poor design and my only recourse is to purchase a new wand at $125.00. That will be the same kind of extension wand, which will likely break again. Extremely disappointed in the quality of this model Kenmore. I have been happy with Kenmore canisters in the past but this one just seems flimsily made.
