Having a TV with no picture and only sound can be really annoying. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, a suggestion I have is to visit your local repair shop or you can visit Sears Home Services website to set service with a Sears technician. If the front light is red then the TV should be off. Do you have a surround sound system hooked up? This issue could be caused by a few different items. Was anything else wrong with the set before it had the no picture?

Unfortunately, it might be better to replace the TV. I would not recommend trying and replacing the board yourself. This can be difficult and if there is something else wrong you would have to pay for additional parts.
