Q:

How much does my Craftsman Lawn Tractor weigh?

A:

You pose an interesting question.  I would suggest calling the Sears Craftsman Help Line at 1-800-659-5917.  I figure it should weigh just about 500 lbs.  I will forward your question to an expert who will investigate the matter further and get back to you.
You will hear from them within two business days if not sooner.
Until you hear from us, have a nice day.

I just found out this saw was recalled, and was mad as hell since I had also never seen the recall on the Sears site, only through word of mouth some 20+ years on. I lost the end of my index finger due to this very problem, and since I registered my product (a long, long time agao at purchase, I have never been notifieed of a recall and only found this thanks to someone pointing i out in a forum. The fact is, the $100 check is a rebate check and a joke if you suffered an injury like I did. I just sent off my 3rd email about this, as my saw is in near mint condition and has been well cared for. I only found the recall last week by pure accident, even though I registered my product like I do with all my tools. The kick in the teeth is that to even find workable parts, the price tag runs well over $600 as far as I can tell, and if the parts are not available, a new saw like this is between $1000-$1500. Instead of a check for a measly $100, how about covering the cost of a new finger tip Sears? Do they even understand the pain, loss and work issues a guy goes through after something like this? And at the time, they basically skirted the issue and made me feel like I had been the one at fault. Not cool.

Q:

Kenmore Elite Fridge 79577546600 interior lights sometimes work

A:

Dan - It would seem that your model number is covered by the proposed class action settlement available at the link below. The problem with the lights staying on in these LG manufactured refrigerators is well documented. Good Luck.

Thanks! I guess I should call them..but what is the problem with this unit's interior lights? Sometimes they come on now and sometimes not. I took apart the connectors at the door hinges just to free up possible corrosion but that did nothing....

Dan - I do not know what the actual problem is. I understand that the later models have LED lights which do not get hot. However I have also come across a couple of posts where the posters' state that the LED lights are staying on.

Thank you for your question. I can understand your concern about the lights. There is a relay on the main control board housed on the back panel of the refrigerator that controls the lights along with the door switch. The main board # 6871JB1423N and a new light socket harness assembly # 6621JK2003B will need to be installed. NOTE: There is a known issue with this model of Kenmore Elite refrigerator regarding the refrigerator lights staying on. The manufacturer warranty has been extended for the life of the refrigerator to cover this type of failure. The repair should be covered along with any damage that occurred to the light reflector and cover. I recommend that you call Sears at 1-800-469-4663 (1-800-4MY-HOME) to schedule a Sears Technician to fix this problem. You will likely need to agree to a service charge for the repair to be set up in the system. Once the technician visits your home and verifies that the failure is caused by this known issue, the parts and labor should be covered. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

this fridge has regular incadescent bulbs..would you think it would be covered by the class action? The Fridge is probably about 5 years old. I am pretty handy and can replace the parts myself, but I rather not replace the electronics w/o some troubleshooting on my part if I can even do it!

Dan, this model is listed on the flash for the light problem. Now, I strongly recommend having a technician make this repair under warranty. A technician has to make the repair for the warranty to be in effect.

I just called Sears and as you all have stated my fridge is under a recall notice.. I never received such notice.. They told me at first that I would be sent a repair kit and upon getting the kit to call them back to schedule a service appointment..seems kind of a protracted method to solve this problem..
