Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to get the handle off the saw.

Make sure that there is not another Allen set screw. It does no show another one in the parts but it is possible.

If you can wobble the handle on the shaft then it is loose and should come off, but if it is tight then it is still seized and you may have to use more Liquid Wrench to get it loose.

If it is loose but will not come off sometimes the set screw will make a burr on the shaft and prevent the handle for coming off. If you can get a large adjustable wrench behind the handle on the shaft you may be able to tap it forward to impact it off.

I hope these suggestions will help you get the handle off.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Dear Sam A, Thank you very much; I needed your feedback before getting aggressive with the handle. I did as you suggested, i.e. the shaft did have a burr on it; I got the handle off filed down the burrs and I am in business. Thank you for your expert advice! Ed
