Question and Answers

Q:

How do I use an old Kenmore oven model #628,4527910?

A:

I can appreciate you're wanting information on the proper settings to use on your oven. I would use the "bake" option for cooking purposes. I will forward your question to an expert who will investigate the matter further and get back to you. You will hear from them within two business days if not sooner. Until you hear from us, have a nice day.

thank you for getting back with me. Should I put it on preheat first then turn it to bake later?

Thanks for the information on your range/oven model   628 4527910, I will be glad to assist you. I have researched your model and find that there are no owner's manuals available for the 1987 model range. If you had an owner's manual it would be very helpful, however I will explain the selector switch operation as best possible. The selector switch must be set to some position before the oven will operate, if set to broil then you can set the temperature control (thermostat) accordingly. And if the selector switch is set to bake and the thermostat set to a desired temperature then you can bake accordingly. The selection of pre-heat allows the oven to heat up faster than when just set to bake. (You must have thermostat set to desired temperature to preheat) once the desired temperature is reached then set selector to bake,  I hope this helps. If you need additional help I will provide a link to service. Sears Home Services. Ron H.
