Question and Answers

Q:

Alleged leak in resin tank 6253485500 Kenmore Water softener

Q:

Water softener has a leak and is not completing manual regeneration count down what is causing this? 625.3485500

A:

Section 5 of your owner's manual has the technical information for the water softener. Here's a direct link to your owner's manual in case you need it: Kenmore Water Softener 625.3485500 Owner's Manual

I recommend that you clean the venturi. That may fix the leak. You can further check the system using the technical information in section 5 of the owner's manual.

I'm showing that the replacement control board for that water softener is part number 7144986. Part 7144986 does not appear to be available as a replacement part. I recommend that you call the Kenmore Water Line at 1-800-426-9345 to see if the part 7236424 is a valid substitution control board for that original control board part 7144986. The replacement control board may be causing problems.
