Q:

I own a Sears water distiller Model No. 625.344.800 (non-digital readout). How do I clean the operating fan? 625344810 Kenmore Countertop water purifier

A:

Thank you for your question. The manufacturer does not provide a service manual on this distiller. I suggest to use canned air or an air compressor to blow the dust out of the fan area.

Thanks for choosing Sears PartsDirect.

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with the water purifier. I'm attaching a troubleshooting chart for this model. There is not much that can be done with many of these small units and not all the parts will be available. I would recommend taking this to the nearest repair center to determine, if it can be repaired. I'm listing a site you can access, for the nearest repair center. Here is a link that will provide the nearest drop-off locations: Sears Home Services. I hope this will help you.

The answer given to the question by your expert is normal. However, I have been in the service industry for over 50 years! Now retired and still have the proper knowledge to fix most anything I can get parts and Schematics for proper part numbers! The symptoms fit the unit I am attempting to help repair. Model # 625-34480. It also cuts off as soon as the steam starts to build. It could be a clog causing shutdown by pressure, or temperature, full water collection canister etc. Possibly other condition but hardly likely! If I were designing this unit, this is the parameters I would use! Is there any way to get a schematic, block diagram or ????

I understand that you are having some problems with your water purifier. Something that will have some handy troubleshooting is your owners manual. I recommend that you unplug the water purifier from the wall outlet. Leave it unplugged for 5 minutes and then plug it back in. This may reset the control inside the water purifier. Reset the clock and see if the control will work properly. If you need to reset the Filter light, you can press and hold the Delay button for 7 deliberate seconds. If the Carafe light stays on, try to reposition that carafe to turn that light off. If the water purifier still won't work properly after trying these steps, then it will probably need to be replaced. There are no serviceable (replacement) parts for the internal components in that water purifier. It will not be worth it to try and get it serviced by a technician.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, let us know.
