Q:

Shopping for NEW REFRIGERATOR

A:

Shopping for new appliances can be very exciting looking at different stores, ca-pairing prices is the key on buying new things. While you are waiting on one of the experts to answer your question, I researched Sears.com website and found so many different Refrigerators with so many different features on them. I attached the link below. Good luck on your new Refrigerator.

For the money, all 3 are a good deal. My own personal choice would be the Kenmore. It is manufactured by Whirlpool and I have had a really good history with their products. That's not a slight against the Maytag or the Frigidaire, just own personal experiences. Currently I have a GE refrigerator in my home and a 32 year old Whirlpool in my shop. The GE unit that I have inside is the first GE refrigerator that I have had and I have no complaints on it so far (2 years old).

In general most brands are going to be somewhat equal to one another on the basic models insomuch as quality (where major brands are concerned). The Maytag model you listed has good reviews and is a good price for the product. The same can be said for the Kenmore unit. The Frigidaire model is a little bit more than the other 2, but not so much to where it's unreasonable. The only thing you may want to do is look for a similar type model from GE. For just a basic unit, the three you listed along with GE make for a great choice no matter which one you decide to go with.

Thank you for using Manage My Life!

Thanks Wade, I am going to try to find a comparable GE model. I also think the Frigidaire comes with an ice maker (which I don't need) and that adds to the cost which I think is the difference in price. I am going to see if the same model without ice maker is available and a good deal. Chris
