Question and Answers

Q:

Replace/install water tank kit Kenmore 59695508500, Water tank R0181175

A:

The water tank is located in the refrigerator section behind the drawers and a cover. The cover is held on by tabs. The cover can be bent slightly to release the tabs. Behind the cover the water tank itself is held in place by two screws. If the tank is frozen then after thawing I'd suggest you fill it and check for any leaks. If you are comfortable replacing the entire line would be great. It is fairly easy to follow the route of the tubing. You can attach the new end  to the old end with a clamp and tape to keep the 2 ends together and pull the old line from the entrance of the fridge so that the new line is pulled through the route of the line. I hope this information helps you, you seem to have the right  idea on how to replace it.   If you have further questions please resubmit your question for further information.

Thanks for your comments. Removed old tank and installed new tank attaching tank tubing to existing tubing using supplied John Guest tubing fittings. All is well.
