Thank you for your question. Sometimes replacing a part can be a challenge. First, disconnect power from the unit and then remove the ice bucket. With the bucket out you will see the cover (# 13 in picture) for the auger motor. Remove the cover and you will have access to the support (# 2). Now remove the driver (# 1) from the auger motor shaft and then remove the support and the screws holding the auger motor in place. Disconnect the wires and remove the motor. Reverse the procedure to install the new motor. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Be sure the compressor is running.

The evaporator fan motor located at the rear of the freezer section should be running whenever the compressor runs.

Check the evaporator coil located behind the fan motor in the rear of the freezer section. If the evaporator coil is frosted over the refrigerator and freezer stop cooling.

You can defrost the evaporator coil with a hair dryer. _Do not use any thing with a sharp point the remove any frost or ice. The evaporator coil is aluminum and punctures easily.

If the compressor is running and there is no frost on the evaporator coil, the compressor is bad or there is a problem inside the sealed system of the refrigerator. If this is the case, you can buy a new refrigerator for slightly more than the repair will cost.

Q:

regrigerator is too cold

A:

First make sure the air supply to the meat drawer is completely covered by the air inlet tube behind the drawer. If it's not completely covered and air leaks out, it can cause the refrigerator section to freeze. If the meat drawer air supply is covered, the problem will probably be with the air diffuser (control damper). This is the most common problem, when the fridge section gets too cold. The control damper # R9900109 will probably need to be replaced. It's available at SearsPartsDirect . Thanks. The air supply to the meat draw is covered and the control damper seems to work fine. I took the control cover off and truned the knob for refrigerator temperature control and the damper moved open and closed as I truned the knob. Maybe it is the evaporator thermostat?
