Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I'm sorry to hear about the cooling and temperature issues you're experiencing with this Lady Kenmore refrigerator.

Since both the freezer and refrigerator are warming, it's definitely a compressor related issue. The most common part replacements for this issue are the start relay and the run capacitor. These allow the compressor to start and run properly. I have included links below for the two parts, just click on the blue link and that will take you to our PartsDirect page where you can purchase the parts to complete the repair. The parts are relatively easy to install as long as you can move the refrigerator out away from the wall and gain access to the compressor at the back bottom, they just simply plug into the side of it.

Start Relay

Run Capacitor

If you would feel more comfortable having a qualified Sears Home Service Technician come to the home and help with the repair, click here to be directed to the page to set up service. I hope it all works out for you!

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when you are having trouble with the refrigerator.  It looks like you need to replace the thermostat on here to keep the temperature alarm from going off.   I see this model is over 20 years old.   To be honest, without a service man there to verify.   I would be buying me a new refrigerator.  Quite positive though you need a new thermostat at the least.

I can understand your concern. You have received some good information from Joseph even though it's on a different model. This problem will normally be due to a failed main control board, however it could also be a defective display board. This can be some complicated voltage checks and I recommend having a technician make these checks. I'm listing a link you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services . If you would like more assistance, please respond to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.
