Q:

eletronic control panel replacement 59678579801 Kenmore Elite Bottom-mount refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly assist you in locating the instructions to replace the control panel on your refrigerator. I did look into the model number you have provided and I have found information to assist you.

I have attached an image to assist in removing the front panel on the dispenser. One board is located in the refrigerator section behind the lights and control bracket.

The other will be located behind the back panel of the refrigerator.

I do apologize we do not have specific instrucitons to install the board on your refrigerator. I recommend a service technician installing the part.

Q:

Some foods freezing in Kenmore Elite fridge...

A:

Thank you for your question. Freezing food is a concern.  It also appears the control may be having problems. One of the usual reasons for foods in the refrigerator to freeze is the air flow. The damper and damper control for this refrigerator is located at the back of the refrigerator.  See Key #'s 11-15 in the image image below.  The damper inside the air diffuser may not be closing and allowing too much air to constantly enter the fridge section. The most common reason for this is the sensor in the damper control fails or the damper may break. Often replacing the damper control, part #W10127429 (key#15 in the image) resolves this issue. It is also possible the control is the problem.  I do recommend having a trained technician do the necessary tests to determine which and make repairs. You can schedule a technician at Sears Home Services. If further assistance is needed, please reply.  Thank you for using Manage My Life.
