Question and Answers

Q:

there is no water coming out of the dispenser 59676603600 Kenmore Elite Bottom mount refrigerator

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore refrigerator.

From the information you have provided above, I can understand the frustration of having your refrigerator malfunction, after researching model number 596.766003600. There can be to parts to cause this issue. The first is the water filter. If the filter hasn’t been replaced in the last 6 months it will cause the water to not dispense. I would suggest replacing the filter if you haven’t. the other part that may cause this is the water valve. The valve could be damaged and not opening allowing the water to flow.

The part number for the water valve is 67006531.

The part number for the filter is UKF8001

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business, have a great day.

Q:

kenmore elite ref handle 596.76603600

A:

Thank you for being Sears’ valued member and for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about tightening the freezer door handle on your Kenmore Elite refrigerator model 596.76603600. I am so sorry handle came loose. I will be happy to help you with this.

You will need a 3/32” Allen wrench to tighten the handle. Please use caution when working on the handle. Wear work gloves to protect your hands. Also, use care when moving the handle as it can scratch the surface of the freezer door. Make sure the handle is aligned with the mounting posts on the door. Apply upward pressure on the handle and hold. On the underside of the handle you will see two holes, one on the left and one on the right. There are set screws in those holes that need to be tightened with the Allen wrench. They hold the handle to the mounting posts.

I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with the refrigerator. If the display will not change and both sections are not cooling, it would lead to a defective board. Now, before replacing the board, some checks will need to be made. First, it will need to be determined if the compressor is running. If it's not running, it could lead to the board but if it is running and no cooling is taking place, then it would lead to a sealed system problem. You can also try resetting the control by disconnecting the power for 30 seconds and then reconnecting it. Sometimes this will correct a board problem. If the problem still occurs, I would recommend having a technician check this. I'm listing a site you can access, to have a tech come out. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services. I hope this will help you.
