HOW DO I GET LIGHT BLUE BYPASS CAP OFF, TO INSTALL NEW WATER FILTER?

A:

Thank You for contacting ManageMyLife.com

I can understand the confusion when removing the bypass cap. After researching you model I found that you need to rotate the cap counter-clockwise. You will fill it click/release and then pull to remove the cap. I hope this helps. If you have further questions please let me know.

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you with replacing the door gasket. On this model, the door gasket pushes into a channel in the door. To replace the door gasket pull the old door gasket out of the channel. Then push the corners of the new gasket into the channels first. Then push the gasket in between the corners. If there are any wrinkles in the gasket, you can remove them by carefully heat the gasket with a hair dryer. Do not heat it too much because it will melt the new gasket.

If you need to replace the left door gasket, you need to remove the mullion. To remove the mullion locate and remove the screw in the center of the door. The image below shows the screw. Once the screw is removed push up on the mullion to remove it. After the mullion is removed, replace the gasket the same as the other side.

I hope this is helpful. If you need further assistance, please feel free to reply below with more details.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Replacing some parts can sometimes be a little tricky. There is no special tool to remove the pantry end cap. It has a couple of screws holding it in place. In most cases, a Phillips screwdriver will remove the screws. If you would like more assistance, any additional details will be helpful and I will be glad to assist you further.

I have the same question. Model # 59678573802. While there are screws holding the metal glider to the endcap, there are 3 bolts holding the endcap to the side of the refrigerator. I need to know what size socket is required to remove the bolts. Thank you!
