Q:

Icemaker works, no water from dispenser

A:

A water dispenser is an important feature on a refrigerator, when it stops working it can be frustrating.  I have researched your question here on Manage My Life and I noticed that someone else had asked a similar question with a posted response from an expert. I attached the link (click here).

Thanks for contacting manage my life about your refrigerator model 596.76524500; sorry you are having a problem, I will be glad to assist you. Based on your description of freezing veggies in the fresh food section it is very possible that the water tubing to the reservoir froze blocking water flow to the dispenser.  Raising the temperature will solve that problem (but it will take a few days). If the higher temperature setting maintains you food supply well then you are okay. If you still have freezing issue in fresh food with higher setting then the damper control should be inspected, this is the damper that controls air movement from the freezer to the fresh food section. I hope this help; if you need additional help please reply with more details and I will be happy to respond. If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services.Ron H.

Thank you for your question. I understand your concern about the water leaking. Normally the water valve # 67005154 will need to be replaced to stop this kind of leak. The reservoir # W10153959 may also need to taken out and emptied or replaced. The facade is no longer available but if there is a problem in the facade area, the most likely problem would be with the switch # 12575501 sticking. Unfortunately, there is no sub listed for the facade. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further.

Thank you for submitting your question. The information Dezeray has provided you is correct. The information about removing the door handles are provided on pages 11-12 of your owner's manual. The manual states you'll need the handle card (67007028) to assist in removing the handles. However, you should be able to use an thin hard card to get the handle off. After the handles are removed you'll be able to tighten the screw. If you require further assistance, please reply back to this thread with more details of any trouble you're experiencing. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
